Sabathia to DL with knee inflammation

Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) – The New York Yankees placed CC Sabathia on the 15-day disabled list Sunday with right knee inflammation.

After giving up an MLB-worst 112 earned runs last season, Sabathia has allowed at least four in five of his eight starts this season for a 5.28 earned run average.

The left-hander is winless with a 6.43 ERA in his last three starts.

The Yankees recalled righty Matt Daley from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move.
