Rockies activate Betancourt

Denver, CO (Sports Network) – The Colorado Rockies activated pitcher Rafael Betancourt from the 15-day disabled list.

Betancourt went 1-3 with 11 saves and a 3.20 ERA in 22 games before landing on the DL with a right groin strain. The right-hander last pitched on May 31.

To make room for Betancourt, the Rockies optioned pitcher Juan Nicasio to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

Nicasio went 4-4 with a 5.31 ERA in 16 starts for the Rockies.
