Reports: Kaepernick fine cut in half
(SportsNetwork.com) – Colin Kaepernick’s $11,000 fine for using inappropriate language in a game last month was cut in half after no evidence was found that the San Francisco 49ers quarterback used a racial slur, according to multiple reports.
Kaepernick appealed the fine he was issued after a Week 2 loss to the Chicago Bears in San Francisco.
He was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after throwing an interception in the fourth quarter when he appeared to direct a comment at Bears defensive end Lamarr Houston.
Houston later said the quarterback used a racial slur, a claim Kaepernick denied.
