Report: Florida lands Michigan transfer Horford
(SportsNetwork.com) – Two weeks after announcing he was transferring from Michigan, Jon Horford has reportedly decided on a new school.
The former Wolverines center will spend his final year of eligibility at Florida, ESPN.com reported Saturday.
Horford, a redshirt junior last season, is joining the team that had the No. 1 overall seed in this year’s NCAA Tournament. His older brother, Atlanta Hawks All-Star Al Horford, also played for the Gators.
The younger Horford appeared in 107 games in four years at Michigan, playing mostly in a reserve role. He averaged 3.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this past season.
The Wolverines never missed the NCAA Tournament with him on the roster.
