Red Sox P Buchholz has knee surgery
Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) – Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz underwent surgery Tuesday to repair the meniscus in his right knee.
The team said the 30-year-old is expected to make a full recovery.
Buchholz was 8-11 with a 5.34 earned run average in 28 starts this season. The right-hander had 132 strikeouts and walked 54 in 170 1/3 innings.
