Rask ahead by 2 at Tour Championship of Canada

London, ON (SportsNetwork.com) – Clayton Rask fired a 5-under 67 on Saturday and moved two strokes clear of the field after 54 holes at the Tour Championship of Canada.

Rask ended three rounds at 12-under-par 204. He will go for his first tour win on Sunday.

Second-round leader Ryan Williams managed an even-par 72 and he dipped into second place at minus-10. Adam Cornelson (71) is one stroke back at 9-under- par 207.

Matt Marshall (72), Sean Shahi (70), Nate McCoy (72) and Jay Myers (70) share fourth place at minus-7. Marshall was tied with Erik Barnes for the first- round lead.

Ted Brown (72), Ryan Brehm (70) and John Catlin (68) are tied for eighth at 6- under 201.

Rask got off to a fast start in the cool, windy conditions at Sunningdale Golf & Country Club. He poured in three straight birdies to start his round and move to 10-under.

After a pair of pars, Rask birdied the sixth and moved to minus-12 with a birdie on the ninth. Around the turn, Rask ran off five straight pars from the 10th.

Rask moved to 13-under with a birdie on the par-5 15th, but he gave that shot back when he bogeyed the last.

Williams had four bogeys and four birdies in his third round. All four times he made bogey — at the fourth, eighth, 11th and 14th — he birdied the following hole.

NOTES: Greg Eason, who is tied for 11th place, has 11 birdies this week to raise his tour-leading total to 193 … The top five on the Order of Merit after this event earn their Web.com Tour cards for next season, while those that finish sixth to 10th on the Order of Merit gain an exemption into the final stage of Web.com Tour Q School … Finally, the top 60 on the Order of Merit will be exempt on the PGA Tour Canada in 2015.
