Rangers agree to terms with Lewis on minor league deal
Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – The Texas Rangers have agreed to terms with pitcher Colby Lewis on a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Lewis began last season on the disabled list as he was still recovering from surgery in July 2012 to repair a torn flexor tendon in his right elbow. He was expected to return after the All-Star break, but missed the whole season due to right hip surgery.
The right-hander is 44-44 with a 4.76 ERA in 152 career games (114 starts) with Detroit, Oakland and Texas.
