Raiders put CB Jones on IR

Alameda, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The Oakland Raiders have placed cornerback Taiwan Jones on injured reserve with a foot injury.

Jones missed practice all week and had been declared out for Sunday’s game against Houston.

The fourth-year veteran led the Raiders in special teams tackles in 2012 with 12 and again last year with 14. He was selected by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2011 NFL Draft as a running back and moved to cornerback prior to the 2013 season.

Oakland filled the roster spot by promoting linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu from the practice roster.
