Phillies transfer Adams to 60-day DL among roster moves
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) – The Philadelphia Phillies transferred pitcher Mike Adams to the 60-day disabled list on Tuesday.
The club originally placed pitcher Mike Adams on the 15-day disabled list with biceps tendinitis on June 22. He had gone just 1-4 with a 3.96 ERA in 28 games before the setback.
In addition, reliever Phillippe Aumont was optioned to Triple-A Lehigh Valley while pitcher Luis Garcia’s contract was selected from the IronPigs.
The 24-year-old Aumont was 1-3 with a 4.19 ERA in 22 appearances this season.
Garcia, 26, has split time between Single-A Clearwater, Double-A Reading and Lehigh Valley in 2013, going 2-2 with a 1.67 ERA in 31 contests.
