Peyton Manning is Still a Major Force in the NFL
Everyone knows that Peyton Manning is one of the top quarterbacks to have ever graced a football field. Most people knew this many years ago when he was still back in Indianapolis. After his neck injury and surgery though, things were up in the air for this fan favorite quarterback. It was unsure whether he would return to the NFL, and then the Colts let him go. He was not out of a job for long though. He went to the Denver Broncos, who were in desperate need of a high quality quarterback that could help them to turn around their organization. They’d just finished dealing with some QBs who could not deliver, including Tim Tebow.
Manning came onto the team and he actually did very well. In fact, it was not long before he looked as though he was back to his old form. The Broncos did quite well. Cut to a year later and the first game of the 2013 season and things are looking better than ever. In the opening game, he became the sixth quarterback to throw six TDs in a game. What’s more impressive is the fact that he did this against the previous year’s Super Bowl champs, the Baltimore Ravens. He did not throw a single interception in the entire seven TD game either, and is one of only two QBs to have managed that feat.
While it is still very early in the season, and it is impossible to tell just how well the Broncos and Manning are going to do, it is very exciting. This latest record should mobilize fans and get them excited about getting out to the stadium to see their QB. It should also be a hint to all of the other cities out there that will be hosting the Broncos this year. No matter how much you love your own home team, you want to see Manning in action if you get the chance. It is an experience you will not forget, even if he doesn’t manage to throw seven touchdowns in the game. Buy your tickets today!
