Penn State OL Smith declares for NFL

State College, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Donovan Smith has opted to forgo his final year of eligibility at Penn State and enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

Smith started 31 games at left tackle for the Nittany Lions over the past three seasons and has already earned his degree.

“After achieving one of my life goals of receiving a degree from The Pennsylvania State University, I feel it’s time to continue the pursuit of my dream of becoming a NFL player,” Smith said.

Smith is listed at 6-foot-5, 340 pounds and was a preseason candidate for the Outland Trophy.
