Pelicans waive Shawne Williams

New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) – The New Orleans Pelicans waived recently acquired forward Shawne Williams on Sunday.

Williams was acquired from the Miami Heat along with Norris Cole and Justin Hamilton as part of a three-team deal before Thursday’s trade deadline.

He appeared in 44 games (22 starts) this season for Miami, averaging 6.6 points and 3.2 rebounds.
