Pelicans’ Stiemsma out 6-to-8 weeks

New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) – New Orleans Pelicans center Greg Stiemsma is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks with a grade 2 MCL sprain in his left knee.

The injury occurred in the second quarter of Tuesday’s 116-95 loss to the Lakers.

Stiemsma averaged 2.0 points and 4.6 rebounds over the team’s first eight games prior to the injury.
