Pelicans’ Davis to replace Bryant in All-Star Game
New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis will replace Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant in the 2014 All-Star Game in New Orleans.
Davis, who is making his first All-Star Game appearance, is averaging 20.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and an NBA-leading 3.3 blocks per game this season.
Davis was the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
Bryant didn’t make his season debut until Dec. 8 due to an Achilles injury and has been sidelined since Dec. 17 due to a knee injury. There is no timetable for his return.
