Pelicans’ Davis out 4-to-6 weeks with broken hand
New Orleans, LA (SportsNetwork.com) – New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis will be out for the next 4-to-6 weeks with a broken left hand.
The club made the announcement on Tuesday, less than 48 hours after Davis left Sunday’s game against the New York Knicks with a non-displaced fracture in that extremity.
He suffered the injury in the first quarter of an eventual 103-99 victory.
Davis was off to a terrific start in his second season, leading the Pelicans with 19.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and a 3.9 blocks per contest.
