Pelicans’ Davis breaks left hand
New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis left Sunday’s game against the New York Knicks with a non-displaced fracture in his left hand.
Davis suffered the injury in the first quarter. The former No. 1 pick went to the Pelicans’ bench before heading back to the locker room for further evaluation.
A timetable for his return has not been determined.
Davis was off to a terrific start in his second season, leading the Pelicans with 19.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and a 3.9 blocks per contest.
