Lewisburg, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Nick Lindner netted 23 points and dished out seven assists as the fourth-seeded Lafayette Leopards upset the top-seeded Bucknell Bison, 80-74, in the semifinal round of the Patriot League Tournament at Sojka Pavilion.

Dan Trist chipped in with 21 points, Joey Ptasinski added 18 and Bryce Scott scored 11 to lead the Leopards (19-12) past the Bison.

Lafayette will host the league championship game Wednesday and will face sixth-seeded American University after the Eagles took down second-seeded Colgate, 73-62.

Ryan Frazier scored 22 points to pace Bucknell (19-14), while Chris Hass contributed 19 points and six rebounds. Zach Thomas added in 15 points and six boards in the defeat.

Lafayette shot 53.1 percent from the field in the contest, and made 21-of-24 from the free-throw line. The last time Lafayette won a Patriot League title was back in 2000.

Final Score: American 73, Colgate 62

Hamilton, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – John Schoof netted 17 points and pulled down six rebounds to lead his sixth-seeded American Eagles to a 73-62 upset victory over the second-seeded Colgate Raiders in the semifinal round of the Patriot League Tournament at Cotterell Court.

Pee Wee Gardner chipped in with 15 points for American (17-15), while Jesse Reed and Charlie Jones each added 14 points for the Eagles, and Marko Vasic added 13 before he fouled out.

American advances to the Patriot League championship game to face fourth- seeded Lafayette on Wednesday. Lafayette will host the game at Kirby Sports Center.

Damon Sherman-Newsome scored 16 points to lead Colgate (16-17), while Luke Roh tallied a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. Matt McMullen contributed 12 points and seven boards, and Austin Tillotson added 11 in the loss.

American is making its second consecutive Patriot League finals appearance after the Eagles defeated Boston University in the championship game last season, 55-36. The Eagles have won three conference titles in their history.
