Pair of Lions, Tiger-Cats make up CFL’s top players
Toronto, ON (Sports Network) – Two players from both the BC Lions and Hamilton Tiger-Cats were selected as the best performers in the CFL for Week 6 of the 2013 season.
Lions quarterback Travis Lulay took home the offensive honors after completing 28-of-39 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-20 win over Winnipeg.
BC teammate Solomon Elimimian was recognized for his work on the defensive side of the ball. The linebacker forced a fumble, picked off a pass and recorded three tackles.
The special teams award went to kicker Luca Congi, who was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals as Hamilton edged Edmonton by a 30-29 score. Wide receiver Samuel Giguere caught six passes for 90 yards in the win to nab top Canadian honors.
