Padres’ Richard leaves game
San Diego, CA (Sports Network) – San Diego Padres starting pitcher Clayton Richard left Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers after throwing just two pitches.
The 6-foot-5 southpaw delievered just two pitches to Dodgers leadoff hitter Mark Ellis before bowing out with a left shoulder injury. Richard delievered an 86-mph changeup to Puig and immediately headed to the Padres’ dugout.
The club is calling the injury a sore left AC joint.
Richard is 2-5 with a 7.01 earned run average in 11 games (10 starts) this season.
