O’s sign reliever Escalona

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) – The Baltimore Orioles signed reliever Edgmer Escalona to a one-year contract on Wednesday.

Escalona made 37 appearances for the Colorado Rockies last season, posting a 1-4 mark with a 5.67 ERA.

In 78 appearances with the Rockies over the last four years, the right-hander has a 1-5 record with a 4.50 ERA.
