Oilers put Fasth on IR

Edmonton, AB (SportsNetwork.com) – The Edmonton Oilers have placed goaltender Viktor Fasth on injured reserve and recalled goaltender Richard Bachman from Oklahoma City (AHL).

Fasth left Tuesday’s 6-1 loss to the Los Angeles Kings with a groin injury. He has played in two games this season. With the 32-year-old Swede now sidelined, No. 1 duties will fall to Ben Scrivens.

Bachman has appeared in one game for Oklahoma City this season.

The Oilers also recalled forward Steve Pinizzotto from Oklahoma City and assigned forward Bogdan Yakimov to Oklahoma City.
