Oilers place Hall on IR
Edmonton, AB (SportsNetwork.com) – Edmonton Oilers forward Taylor Hall was placed on injured reserve Monday because of a knee injury.
Hall is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks because of a sprained medial collateral ligament. He was hurt in Saturday’s game against Vancouver when he took a hit while driving to the net. His leg crashed into the goal post and his momentum carried him into the end boards.
The 22-year-old Calgary native leads Edmonton with six goals and 10 points in 11 games this season.
Edmonton recalled defenseman Keith Aulie to fill the roster spot.
