Niners place Manningham on IR

Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The San Francisco 49ers placed wide receiver Mario Manningham on injured reserve Friday with a knee injury.

Manningham began the 2013 campaign on the physically unable to perform list as he continued his recovery from a torn ACL suffered last season. He was activated to the 53-man roster on Nov. 4.

The 27-year-old started half of the six games in which he played and caught nine passes for 85 yards.
