Niners ink K Dawson to two-year deal
Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – The San Francisco 49ers have signed kicker Phil Dawson to a two-year deal.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dawson, 38, joined the 49ers as a free agent in 2013 after spending the previous 14 seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Last season, Dawson made 32 field goals and finished with 140 points scored — both second most in 49ers’ franchise history.
Dawson’s 84.5 career field goal percentage ranks eighth in NFL history.
