Never Too Early for Padres Tickets

While the Padres might not have made it to the World Series this year, the San Diego faithful still have hope for their team next year… or the year after. The team wasn’t in the running in 2013, but they do aim to make some changes in 2014. Of course, they have to get over some of the injuries that plagued them during the 2013 season.

They are slowly starting to put together the pieces they need for a good ball club, but the number of injuries they suffered, among other problems, kept them from doing as well in the National League West as they should have. Just consider some of the injuries they suffered. Infielders Alonso and Cabrera had injuries, as did Headley, their third baseman. Maybin and Quentin, excellent outfielders, had health issues as well. News that Mark Kotsay, another outfielder, is retiring this year could be a blow to the team next year, but things are not all gloom and doom.

Things do seem to be looking up for the team. They have some great pitchers, Ross and Cashner, who really started to step up this season. Great new players are starting to come into the fold, returning players are getting healthier, and Spring Training will be upon us sooner than you can believe. It should not be long before we start to have a better picture of what the San Diego Padres will look like next year.

In baseball, nothing is ever certain, and there could always be unforeseen circumstances that could change the outcome of a game or an entire season. This year’s World Series is certainly proof of that. Still, the wind might be blowing in the right direction for the Padres next season.

If you love your home team, why are you watching them at home? Watching the team on television works, but it’s nothing compared to the excitement of getting out and watching a live game down a Petco Park. The field is great, the prices are great, and you have plenty of things to do in downtown San Diego before or after the game! It’s never too early to start thinking about next season’s tickets.
