NCAA College Football Preview: Week 6
Although last week didn’t shape up to be too bad after all, college football fans can breathe a sigh of relief at this week’s schedule. LSU is up against the Florida Gators, South Carolina is desperately looking for a win at home, and the rivalry between the Huskies and the Ducks also sees some action. All of that and more in this week’s top three college games!
(4) LSU at (10) Florida
LSU is undefeated; and Florida is undefeated. It’s the first time this has happened since 2009 and for one, the streak will come to an end this Saturday. It’s crucial for both teams, and both will have the toughest time pulling out a win than they’ve had all season. Florida has been on a huge roll, and is doing a lot of good in proving that they are back as the mighty Gators. On the other hand, people are expecting big things from LSU this year, yet they barely pulled out the win against Towson last week. They may be the higher-ranked team, but LSU has got a lot more to prove in this game.
(5) Georgia at (6) South Carolina
Football in South Carolina this weekend will look much like it does in Florida. The South Carolina Gamecocks have been great this season, but extremely sloppy against Kentucky last week. If they want to stay on top, they’ll have to polish up a bit, and realize they can’t afford to make mistakes. On Georgia’s side of the ball, as long as Aaron Murray can keep his focus and perform as he has been, he may give the Bulldogs another win.
(23) Washington at (2) Oregon
Not only is this a deep-seeded rivalry, but Oregon just tasted Washington Huskies blood last week, and they’re definitely going to be ready for more. They’ll polish it up a bit this time and they’ll most likely take it over the Huskies. But it might not be that easy. Washington proved that they’ve got what it takes to come through in the clutch, and that if Keith Price is on their side, they’re going to have a chance. At first glance this one looks like it’s going to be a blowout. But sit tight. With this one, things aren’t so certain.
