NCAA College Football Preview: Week 3

It’s just the very start of the season, and that means that this week’s NCAAF schedule is jam-packed. Among all those many, many games, here are the ones that you want to keep an eye out for.

Idaho Vandals at LSU Tigers
The Tigers have won their first two games against North Texas and then Washington last weekend. But if they can take it over the Vandals this weekend, they’ll be the first team ever in NCAA history to win 40 consecutive non-conference regular season games. The Vandals on the other hand, have had a disappointing start to their season, and are still looking for a win.

Alabama Crimson Tide at Arkansas Razorbacks
Expect this one to be all Alabama. They are the number one team for a reason, and they haven’t had a disappointing week yet; nor much of a challenge. AJ McCarron will be the one to watch lead Alabama to victory, as the junior quarterback has already made 6 touchdowns this year with just 40 throws. And every play in between has been fairly perfect.

Notre Dame at Michigan State
Maybe no one was surprised when Notre Dame won their game against Purdue last week. But one thing that was surprising was the fact that it was quarterback Tommy Rees, not Everett Golson, that made the winning play. Head coach Brian Kelly says that there is no issue; but you don’t pull a QB like Golson for no reason. Seeing who will take the field is going to be a huge story in this game. Add to that the fact that it’s one huge team against another huge team, and you better clear your schedule for this one.
