NBA Update and Playoff 2012 Outlook
We all knew coming into the season that the Miami Heat were going to be the ones to watch out for; so it’s no surprise that LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh have already given the Heat a nearly undefeated season this year. They will undoubtedly be in the playoffs, but who will they meet there?
Perhaps due to the personal drama and possible distractions surrounding Kobe Bryant, the Los Angeles Lakers have not come out and made a name for themselves yet this season, as they usually do. While there’s no guarantee that they will even make it to the playoffs, the same can’t be said for the little team that could, the Oklahoma City Thunder. Seemingly underdogs, the Thunder aren’t really that much of a surprise. They’re playing extremely well and using their young talent to their fullest advantage; something everyone knew they would do. It won’t be a surprise to see this team in the playoffs, even if inexperience does take care over once they get there.
The reigning NBA playoff champs, the Dallas Mavericks, are also another team that just aren’t living up to the hype they left behind last year, although they did just beat the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night for the third time in a row. They probably won’t be any competition for the Heat, but the same can’t be said for the Chicago Bulls. Derrick Rose might be enough to get the Bulls into the playoffs and if rumors about the team signing Dwight Howard are also true, they might just be the only ones to be able to feel the Heat, and live to tell about it.
The NBA is back and these playoff predictions are just some of the first few! Who do you think will make it to the NBA Finals?
