Nats place struggling Haren on DL
Washington, DC (Sports Network) – The Washington Nationals placed starting pitcher Dan Haren on the 15-Day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.
Haren’s first season in the nation’s capital has been quite dreadful so far. He has posted a record of 4-9 in 15 starts with a major league-worst 6.15 ERA.
A three-time All-Star, Haren joined the Nationals as a free agent after spending parts of the three previous years with the Angels.
The Nationals recalled first baseman/outfielder Tyler Moore from Triple-A Syracuse to fill Haren’s roster spot.
