Nats and Detwiler avoid arbitration
Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – The Washington Nationals and pitcher Ross Detwiler avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract on Thursday.

Selected sixth overall by the Nationals in the 2007 draft, the left-hander has compiled an 18-29 record with a 3.79 ERA in 85 career games — 69 starts.
