Nationals place Hairston on DL

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – The Washington Nationals placed outfielder Scott Hairston on the 15-day disabled list prior to Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Braves.

Hairston, who is dealing with a left oblique strain, appeared in two of Washington’s first five games this season.

Washington also recalled infielder/outfielder Tyler Moore from Triple-A Syracuse. He hit .222 with nine doubles, four homers and 21 RBI in 63 games with the Nationals last season.
