National Hockey League Game Capsules
Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Michael Del Zotto scored the winning goal with 4:13 to play as the Philadelphia Flyers grabbed a 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals on Sunday. Claude Giroux posted a goal and an assist and Wayne Simmonds also scored for the Flyers, who have won their past two games. Rob Zepp turned aside 21 shots to win for the second time in as many days. Philadelphia still sits on the outside of the playoff race in the Eastern Conference, but has garnered at least a point in 12 of its last 13 games to get back into the picture. Joel Ward and Tom Wilson lit the lamp for the Capitals, who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Braden Holtby allowed all three goals on 28 shots in the loss.
