In the extra session, Klein wound up with the puck in the high slot and cranked a shot that went through a screen and past Marc-Andre Fleury for the win. J.T. Miller, Kevin Hayes and Rick Nash all scored for the Rangers, who snapped a two-game slide. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 32 shots in the win. Nick Spaling and Steve Downie each posted a goal and an assist for the Penguins, who have lost two of three. Fleury stopped 25 shots in the loss.

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) – Jaromir Jagr tallied a goal and an assist and moved his way up a few of the NHL’s all-time lists as the New Jersey Devils defeated the Carolina Hurricanes, 2-1, on Monday. Jagr passed Marcel Dionne for sole possession of fifth place on the NHL’s all-time points list with 1,772. The Czech superstar also became the 15th player to skate in his 1,500th career game. Adam Henrique netted the game-winning goal and Cory Schneider was spectacular, stopping 39-of-40 shots fired his way for the Devils, who entered the game with losses in six of their last seven games. Justin Faulk potted Carolina’s lone goal and Cam Ward allowed both goals on 16 shots in his team’s third straight loss.

Final Score: St. Louis 4, Florida 2

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) – Chris Porter scored the game-winning goal with 1:54 remaining in the third period to lead the St. Louis Blues to a 4-2 victory over the Florida Panthers on Monday. Maxim Lapierre, Ian Cole and Paul Stastny all scored for St. Louis, which has won its last two games. Martin Brodeur made 32 saves in his home debut. Nick Bjugstad and Aaron Ekblad both lit the lamp for Florida, which received 24 stops from Roberto Luongo in defeat. With the game tied at 2-2, Porter redirected Barret Jackman’s right point shot and Stastny tallied an empty-net goal with 32 seconds remaining to seal the win.
