Joffrey Lupul added a first-period tally and Nazem Kadri recorded a career-best three assists for the Maple Leafs, who put an end to their five-game slide. James Reimer stopped 26 shots in the triumph. Radko Gudas and Cory Conacher scored for the Lightning, who had won two in a row. Mathieu Garon started, but was pulled after yielding three goals on 13 shots in 27-plus minutes. He finished the contest with 15 saves. Anders Lindback played almost 21 minutes and allowed one goal on eight shots.

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) – Devin Setoguchi netted a pair of goals and Niklas Backstrom stopped 36 pucks as the Minnesota Wild downed Detroit, 4-2, at Joe Louis Arena. Mikko Koivu and Kyle Brodziak also tallied and Pierre-Marc Bouchard added two assists for the Wild, who have won four in a row and six of their last seven. Gustav Nyquist and Drew Miller supplied the offense for the Red Wings, who have lost four of six after their two-game win streak was halted. Jimmy Howard allowed all four goals on just 19 shots in defeat.
