Davis scored at least 30 points for the 12th time this season. K.J. Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) – Serge Ibaka had 13 points and pulled down 19 rebounds as the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 92-84 on Monday night. Kevin Durant sat out due to a sprained left big toe. He injured the toe during the fourth quarter Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but stayed in the game. This was the 24th game he’s already missed this season after not playing in just a total of 16 contests over his first seven seasons. Russell Westbrook, who was just 7-of-22 from the floor, finished with 18 points and five assists for the Thunder, who have won four of their last six games. Thaddeus Young posted 22 points and eight boards, Andrew Wiggins provided 23 points and Gorgui Dieng snatched 18 rebounds for Minnesota, which has dropped five straight games.

The 34-year-old veteran went 7-of-10 from the field in his highest output since joining the Celtics in a trade earlier this month, while helping his new team outscore Utah 38-14 during a dominant second quarter. Boston built a 55-31 halftime lead, then held off a Jazz comeback attempt down the stretch to improve to 3-2 on its current six-game trip. Fellow reserve Tyler Zeller chipped in 14 points to the victory, with Jared Sullinger adding 12 along with nine rebounds for the Celtics. The Jazz were denied their first three-game win streak of the season despite Gordon Hayward’s game-high 26 points and a 20-point effort from Enes Kanter. Trey Burke finished with 18 points in defeat.

Chris Paul added 15 points and eight helpers in the triumph. LA trailed by eight going into the fourth. Ty Lawson tallied 19 points and 11 assists, while Wilson Chandler provided 18 points and 10 boards for Denver, which has dropped seven consecutive games.

Portland at Brooklyn, postponed

Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – With a forecast of heavy snow in New York City, Monday’s game between the Portland Trail Blazers and Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center was postponed. The contest has been rescheduled for April 6. A winter storm could dump several feet of snow with blizzard conditions in New York City and along the northeast through Tuesday. Brooklyn is set to play next on Wednesday in Atlanta, while Portland was set to open a four-game road trip on Monday. The Blazers are scheduled to play Wednesday in Cleveland.

Sacramento at New York, postponed

New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – A forecast of heavy snow in New York City, forced Monday’s game between the Sacramento Kings and New York Knicks to be postponed. The contest has been rescheduled for March 3. A winter storm could dump several feet of snow with blizzard conditions in New York City and along the northeast through Tuesday. The Knicks will remain home and play next on Wednesday against Oklahoma City, while the Kings will continue a road trip Wednesday in Toronto.
