Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) – Courtney Lee’s remarkable, albeit controversial, layup at the buzzer capped a furious fourth-quarter comeback that lifted the Memphis Grizzlies to a thrilling 111-110 victory over the Sacramento Kings. Lee flew through the air to catch Vince Carter’s inbounds feed and got a reverse off-balance shot to fall as time expired, though television replays appeared to show the Kings’ Ryan Hollins getting a hand on the pass, which would have started a clock that had just 0.3 seconds showing at the start of the play. After a review that lasted several minutes, the basket was upheld to give the Grizzlies their 18th consecutive regular-season home win dating back to the 2013-14 campaign. Lee finished with 16 points and Mike Conley had 22 with 11 assists for Memphis, which overcame a 24-point third-quarter deficit and trailed 103-86 with under 7 1/2 minutes left before rallying back.

Final Score: Chicago 100, Toronto 93

Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) – Pau Gasol kept the Bulls in striking distance early and a lopsided third quarter helped give Chicago a hard-earned 100-93 road victory over the Toronto Raptors. The Bulls were cruising after outscoring the Raptors, 35-14, in the third and were ahead by 18 points with under five minutes left in regulation. A 14-1 Raptors run and another Derrick Rose injury scare provided some late drama, but Chicago held on and improved to 5-0 on the road for the first time since the 1996-97 season. Rose, who was playing consecutive games for just the second time this season, netted 20 points but sat the final two minutes after appearing to roll his already injured left ankle. The Bulls initially called it a hamstring injury. Gasol scored 19 of his 27 points in the first half and added 11 rebounds for the Bulls, who received 21 points from Jimmy Butler and 14 from Mike Dunleavy.

Final Score: Dallas 123, Philadelphia 70

Dallas, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Dirk Nowitzki needed just eight shots to score 21 points and the Dallas Mavericks embarrassed the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday, 123-70, at American Airlines Center. Monta Ellis netted 17 points, Chandler Parsons and Brandan Wright both added 14 and Tyson Chandler pulled down 10 rebounds in Dallas’ ninth straight home win over Philadelphia. Dallas surpassed its biggest margin of victory in franchise history, which was 50. The 76ers, who remained the lone winless team in the NBA, welcomed back reigning rookie of the year Michael Carter-Williams, but his return to the hardwood took a backseat to the beating Philadelphia was handed. Carter- Williams missed the entire preseason and the team’s first seven regular season games after undergoing surgery on his right shoulder in May. He came off the bench and scored a team-high 19 points on 6-of-19 shooting.

Final Score: Golden State 107, Brooklyn 99

Oakland, CA (SportsNetwork.com) – Klay Thompson scored 25 points and the Golden State Warriors fended off a late rally to top the Brooklyn Nets, 107-99, on Thursday. Draymond Green scored 17 points with eight rebounds and a career-best seven assists and Andrew Bogut did a little bit of everything, contributing 11 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots. Steph Curry also scored 17 with five assists, a pedestrian night by his lofty standards, as the Warriors got back in the win column following consecutive defeats. The Nets got 23 points from Jarrett Jack, who made all 10 of his shots off the bench, and 18 points apiece by Brook Lopez and Deron Williams. They shot just 3-of-16 from behind the arc.
