Minnesota coach Kill suffers another seizure
Ann Arbor, MI (SportsNetwork.com) – Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill has suffered another seizure and did not make the trip with the Golden Gophers to face No. 19 Michigan on Saturday.
The school released the following statement:
“Minnesota football coach Jerry Kill is at home in Minneapolis and will not be on the sideline for today’s game against Michigan. Coach Kill was not feeling well on Friday morning and decided to meet the team in Ann Arbor on Saturday. He then suffered a seizure on Saturday morning and will remain at home in Minnesota for today’s game.”
Defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys will serve as Minnesota’s acting head coach from the press box.
This is Kill’s fifth seizure-related episode since he took the job at Minnesota in 2011. Kill, who has epilepsy, also had a seizure during a game last month against Western Illinois.
