Mets’ Mejia leaves with elbow discomfort
San Diego, CA (Sports Network) – New York Mets starting pitcher Jenrry Mejia left Saturday’s contest with the San Diego Padres after experiencing discomfort in his pitching elbow.
The pain seemed to arise after Mejia made a pitch to Logan Forsythe to start the fourth inning. He allowed a run on four hits and had five strikeouts before exiting.
Mejia had Tommy John surgery on the same elbow back in 2011.
