Mets C d’Arnaud shelved due to concussion
Flushing, NY (Sports Network) – New York Mets catcher Travis d’Arnaud was placed on the seven-day disabled list Thursday, and backstop Juan Centeno was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas.
The move for D’Arnaud, who suffered a concussion, is retroactive to May 14.
The 25-year-old posted three homers and eight RBI with a .196 average over 31 games this season for New York.
If Centeno cracks the lineup, it will be his first big league action since late September. In that four-game call-up, Centeno hit .300 (3-for-10) with one RBI.
