Mauer placed on concussion DL

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) – Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer was placed on the 7-day concussion disabled list.

Mauer experienced dizziness during batting practice and was a late scratch prior to Minnesota’s 6-3 win over the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. He will be eligible to return to the roster early next week.

The team called up outfielder Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester to take Mauer’s place on the roster.
