Matchbox Twenty and Goo Goo Dolls go on Tour this Summer
Matchbox Twenty and the Goo Goo Dolls were two of the biggest rock bands around in the 90s and 2000s, and both have been busy lately making new music and going on tour to bring it to their loyal fans. Now these two mind-blowing rock worlds collide, as the two have just announced they’re going to be co-headlining a tour this summer.
The tour will last for just about two months, although there’s always hoping that more dates are extended. It will kick off on June 25 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire, and from there the bands will travel extensively around North America. With 32 shows in 30 cities stretched across 60 days, the tour is a mixture of both some of the biggest arenas, and some more intimate amphitheatres. Some of the biggest stops the bands will be making along the way are in Toronto, Cincinnati, Atlanta, Kansas City, and Hershey, Pennsylvania. You can find a full listing of dates and venues here.
It’s perfect timing for the Goo Goo Dolls, as their tenth studio album, “Magnetic” is due to be released on May 7. Matchbox Twenty is still promoting their fourth studio album, “North,” which they’ve been on tour promoting since its release last August. Matchbox Twenty is also expected to release a new single shortly, called “Our Song.”
Who knows when else you’ll have the opportunity to see two such great acts as these? Tickets go on sale April 12, so be sure to get yours!
