Marist seeks another banner campaign
Poughkeepsie, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Marist will try to build off its Pioneer Football League co-championship season in an 11-game 2014 schedule announced on Tuesday.
The Red Foxes shared the 2013 PFL crown – their first – with Butler while finishing with an 8-3 record.
They will kick of the season on Aug. 30 at Sacred Heart before hosting Bucknell (Sept. 6) and Georgetown (Sept. 13) in their other non-conference games.
Marist will play six home games at Tenney Stadium. Within the PFL, coach Jim Parady’s squad will face San Diego (Sept. 27), Dayton (Oct. 11, Homecoming), Campbell (Oct. 25) and Davidson (Nov. 15).
The Red Foxes will play PFL road contests against Drake (Sept. 20), Valparaiso (Oct. 4), Jacksonville (Nov. 1) and Stetson (Nov. 8).
In the PFL’s unbalanced schedule, Marist will not play Butler and Morehead State.
