Madonna Coming Out with a New Album in Spring

After nearly four years, Madonna is coming out with a new album! The Queen of Pop recently sat down in an interview with Sweden’s Sveriges Television (SST) in Venice, Italy to talk about many things, including her twelfth studio album which she expects to be out next year. While there have been rumors floating around that Madge is about to give fans something new to taste, Madonna hadn’t confirmed it until now.

While there is currently no name for the album, Madonna did give a few details in the interview. She’s hoping that it will be released in the spring, with the first single being released just prior to, in March or April. Recording for the album began on July 4, although from the sounds of it, it’s still in its very early stages. The rest will be recorded when she returns to New York and it packs some of the big names that her last album did. The one to pay attention to is William Orbit, who produced and co-produced most of Madonna’s seventh album, Ray of Light. It was Orbit who helped that chart top the Billboard 200, and sell 3.5 million copies in the United States alone.

However, Madonna has chosen to leave Warner Bros. Records and this will be the first time that we get to see Madonna in a new deal with Live Nation. It should be an interesting move, seeing as Hard Candy, the last album Warner Bros. Records promoted, didn’t even sell 1 million copies.
