Macklemore & Ryan Lewis to Play Hangout Fest

It’s only the third year for the Hangout Music Fest, but it’s quickly becoming one of the biggest music festivals of the year, and the first of its kind to ever be seen in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Indie rock, reggae, rap, rock, funk, alternative, and electronica are all parts of the festival year after year, and this year’s lineup proves that once again. Two of the biggest names in hip hop, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, are going to be there; along with a slew of other great acts, too!

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are currently enjoying the success of their full-length debut album, The Heist, which was released last October. The album saw many singles including “Same Love” and “Thrift Shop,” and a tour that sold out multiple venues in minutes ensued. Now they’ll include along the way of that tour the Hangout Music Fest, on May 17 — May 19. With 35,000 people in attendance last year, that gives plenty of fans the chance to see this phenomenal duo live in concert!

Also appearing at this year’s festival will be Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Stevie Wonder, Kings of Leon, The Black Crowes, Kendrick Lamar, Bloc Party, Twenty One Pilots, the Trey Anastasio Band, The Shins, and more!
