Hallandale Beach, FL (Sports Network) – Eclipse Award winning trainer Dale Romans is included in the partnership of a new racing endeavor.

Romans, Carlo Vaccarezza and Florida businessman John Williams, have put together Little Dreams Racing based in Parkland, Fla.

“It’s for people who can’t afford to pay $50,000 or $60,000 on a horse,” Vaccarezza said, “the UPS driver, the FedEx driver, the secretary in the doctor’s office, the people who go to the racetrack every week but can’t afford $50,000 or $60,000 but can afford $1,000 or $2,000 and would like to buy 1 or 2 percent of a horse.

“When you’re in the winner’s circle, nobody asks what percentage you own. You get the same thrill as though you own 99 percent of the horse.”

Romans trains Breeders’ Cup Turf winner Little Mike for Vaccarezza’s wife Priscilla. Vaccarezza owns a south Florida restaurant.

As stated on the partnership’s website: “The purpose of Little Dreams Racing is to form partnerships with racing enthusiasts to run Thoroughbreds at the major racing venues of the United States.”

Little Mike will make his next start in the Arlington Million on Saturday, Aug. 17. The 6-year-old won last year’s Million and finished second to Horse of the Year Wise Dan in the voting for champion turf male.
