Atlanta, GA (SportsNetwork.com) – Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James will sit out Tuesday’s game against Atlanta due to a sore left knee.

James, who turned 30 on Tuesday, had missed just one game this season prior to Tuesday’s matchup. He is averaging 25.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.6 assists.

The only other game James sat out was Dec. 11 at Oklahoma City.

Point guard Kyrie Irving was in the starting lineup for the Cavs. Irving had missed the previous two contests due to a bone bruise in his left knee.

The Cavs were also expected to be without forward Shawn Marion because of a left ankle injury.
