On Sunday Matt Kuchar won the Memorial Tournament on the PGA tour, making it his sixth title win of his career, and putting him as the only other player besides Tiger Woods that has won multiple times this year. Woods on the other hand, had one of the worst performances of his career on the back nine, while Rory McIlroy also had another disappointing day.

Woods and McIlroy were already well out of the running by the time Kuchar capped a four-under par 68 with a birdie to win the tournament on Sunday. Not only did he snatch the title away from one of the greats, Tiger Woods who won it last year, but it also gives him a multiple win year after winning the Match Play Championship in February. And all of that’s not to mention the $6.2 million Kuchar also made on this win. But none of that was what mattered the most to him.

“This stuff never gets old,” he said immediately after the win. “To shake Mr. [Jack] Nicklaus’ hand, too win the tournament, that’s pretty great. But to have my family run onto the green, this is as special as it gets.”

Woods started having trouble on the twelfth hole, where he shot a six at the par-three; his second triple bogey of the week. He finished the week off with an eight-over 296.

And Woods’ final score was just slightly worse than another golfer, Rory McIlory, who’s still looking for his first win of the year. McIlroy had trouble all week, but managed to come back in time to make the cut. He still had a disappointing finish, with a total score of six-over total of 294.
