Khudobin placed on IR; Peters recalled

Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) – The Carolina Hurricanes placed goaltender Anton Khudobin on injured reserve Monday and recalled netminder Justin Peters from Charlotte of the American Hockey League.

Khudobin, who agreed to terms on a one-year, $800,000 contract at the outset of free agency in July, suffered a lower-body injury and had to depart Sunday’s 5-3 home loss to the Phoenix Coyotes.

Peters appeared in 19 games last season with Carolina, going 4-11-1 with a 3.46 goals-against average.
