Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw Team up for Tour

It’s been a decade since country legend’s Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw have teamed up for a tour and the one they’re planning for 2012 is sure to be worth the wait for fans! The duo will be traveling around the United States for a total of 19 stops on their “Brothers of the Sun” during the summer of 2012. The tour will begin on June 2, 2012 in Tampa, Florida and will wrap up on August 25 in Foxboro, Massachusetts.

Kenny Chesney recently sat down with billboard.biz to discuss the tour and give fans an idea of what they can expect at the shows. Back in 2001 when the two toured together, it was a McGraw show with Chesney providing support. Now though, the two are going to switch sides as Chesney will be the one closing out the show. Still, fans will get a mix of McGraw and Chesney being on-stage at different times to belt out some of their most popular songs, and they’ll join together for some unforgettable duos too. The most important thing to Chesney though, is that they “try and change it up every night and have as much fun as we possibly can.”

That’s good news for fans, as the same set and the same performance can quickly become monotonous, even for those who can only get out for one show. But it always builds momentum and excitement for any show when fans can compare notes at the end and see where the differences lie.
