Katherine Jackson is Searching for the Stars
There will be many Michael Jackson tribute shows to come in the future; but Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, is planning one that she hopes will be bigger than ever — and she’s hoping that the biggest stars will all come out for it!
Mrs. Jackson is planning for the tribute show to be held in Cardiff, Wales on October 8, and she’s hoping that the biggest names in music will come to celebrate her son’s life, and the music that he shared with the world. In the invitation, Katherine is asking artists to come and perform one or two of their favorite Michael Jackson songs; and she’s also promising to provide “first class travel accommodations” for their trouble.
So far, the list of A-listers is long with Katherine Jackson already having invited big names. Some of those celebrities, such as Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Chris Brown, have had to decline the invite due to scheduling conflicts; but others such as Christina Aguilera and Kanye West are said to be seriously considering it. Cee Lo has already confirmed that he absolutely will be there to perform, as will R&B artist, Craig David, who announced his performance at the show on Facebook.
Tickets for the tribute show were supposed to go on sale on August 4 but that date has been pushed back until an entire full line-up can be announced along with ticket registration. While most of the Jackson family are onboard with the idea of the show, both Randy and Jermaine Jackson think that it’s an “inappropriate” time, as Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael’s doctor who’s now facing involuntary manslaughter charges, will be on trial at the time of the performance.
If you want to see the show, but don’t think you’ll be in Wales at the beginning of October, you may be able to catch it on TV; the show will be broadcast in both 2D and 3D to over 30 countries!
